Najbolja stvar u povijesti stvari ikad uopće se upravo dešava, a na portalu ni na forumu ni riječi o tome.


Kronološki i na engleskom jerbo sam lijen i ne da mi se pisati;

-People play and see the radio in the beginning room now has a green light
-Carry it around and notice it makes strange broadcast interference noises in certain places
-Locate and place all 26 of these mystery radios for achievement

Sad ide genijalni dio;

-Smart people yank wav files out of game content folders and run them through SS programs (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Slow-scan_television)
-Produces 26 weird cryptic image files in a numbered sequence (http://forums.steampowered.com/forums/showthread.php?t=1169218)

-Internet traces it to Kirkland, WA (near Valve HQ)
-People find out its not a phone/fax line but a data line hosting a BBS and telnet it

-End up with a bunch of weird ASCII artwork

Some believe they are connected, whilest other dispute it, claiming it shows the skeleton of a chicken and therefor they are not connected.

Ne isključujem mogućnost al ono.
Netko faking doma ima SST opremu i skužio je da radijski signali daju slike. Ono. Po čemu je md5 kurac posebna da to veliš.

Slike 1, 5, 12 i 17 su morse code, ne slike.
Pa ekipa dešifrirala kodove.

Pače, je MD5 hash od "The quick brown fox jumps over the lazy dog"

The SSTV pictures, when ordered display an MD5 hex string in the numbers/letters: 9459C6CAC8C203B8128B7CC63068D4FD. A little bruteforcing (and the realization that it may be a phone number, due to the "(###) ###-####" references in many of the photos) reveals the string "(425) 822-5251" has this MD5.

Nategnuto, ali ajde....moguće da postoje takvi frikovi koji prepoznaju kripto algoritme na prvi pogled. Ali otkud mu dešifrirana verzija?

File 5 is a doubly encoded, the MD5 encrypted string "The quick brown fox jumps over the lazy dog"

That explains it! 

Po onome što ja znam nije moguće razbiti MD5 (ili je?) osim ako ne ubacuješ u generator rendom rečenice i onda uspoređuješ kriptirani output.

To je za ovaj prvi kod iz morseove abecede. Da.
A za drugi kod su bili hintovi i/ili ključevi na slikama. Pa kao, nije teško. Samo je trebalo prepoznati da je md5.

Sakam u objašnjavanju. Al, ono. Nije fejk uglavnom.
