Sonic Team nudi razloge za lošu Sonic igru

Producer Sonic Teama – Yojiro Ogawa pokušao je objasniti zašto je Sonic the Hedgehog za PS3 i Xbox 360 tako nekvalitetna igra. U intervjuu Ogawa nije ponudio nijedan uvjerljiv razlog zašto je Sonic tako razočarao igrače, no ipak je otkrio neke od problema koji su se pojavili i vjerojatno nisu pomogli development timu. “The reason why probably ended up with what we see today, involves a lot of reasons. One is that we did want to launch the title around Christmas, and we had the PS3 launch coming up, but we had to develop for Microsoft’s 360 at the same time and the team had an awful lot of pressure on them. It was very hard for the team to try and see how we were going to come out with both versions together with just the one team. It was a big challenge” , zaključio je. Dakle, čini se da je development tim bio na previše strana jer je morao napraviti obje verzije igre na vrijeme, i očito su baš presing i nervoza dosta utjecali na njih. Šteta, igra je doista izgledala obećavajuće.
